Religious Naturalism: The Sacred Side of Science
A Special Evening with Michael Dowd and Connie Barlow
Sunday, September 16. 2012
Reception – 6:00 pm Presentation – 7:00 pm

Earth Portal Exhibit at the Seattle Center

In the unique setting of the Earth Portal Exhibit, Michael Dowd and Connie Barlow, “America’s evolutionary evangelists,” will discuss the leading edge of meaningful and inspiring interpretations of science — specifically our current collective intelligence about “big history, death, and human nature.”  Since April 2002, Michael and Connie have travelled North America and spoken to more than 1,600 secular and religious audiences — from evangelicals to atheists. They will also discuss the challenges and opportunities they have encountered in America for promoting “religious naturalism” — that is, a fully evidential worldview that ignites a passion for life, an honoring of death, and practical tools for joyfully navigating modern challenges.
